ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Release/Schedule individual deals to the Production Floor.
  • Ensure accuracy of all releases prior to distributing to Production Floor.
  • Use drafting and nesting software to layout plasma table cutting.
  • Use drafting software to layout woodshop CNC programs.
  • Work with Planners and Operations Managers to help balance and coordinate the manufacturing orders based on material/tooling/capacity availability.
  • Coordinate and participate in the materials procurement process to ensure just-in-time material delivery, as well as tooling and component availability to ensure no material stock outs in support of the production consumption rates and the committed schedule.
  • Initiate material release and production documentation to work areas for delivery to committed customer schedules.
  • Regular review of the forecast with the Master Scheduler.
  • Work with Sales Team on capacity and lead times.
  • Print and organize project packets to accompany products around the manufacturing floor.
  • Track and manage Change Orders in cooperation with Sales Team.
  • Analyze short/long term capacities to minimize the cause for past due orders and/or overtime.
  • Provide status of current production orders and material shortages to management.
  • Track, analyze, and report results for plant Key Performance Indicators.
  • Manage and direct the timely execution of projects, from inception to completion.
  • Identify key issues and suggest and implement plant-specific improvement activities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Two (2) or four (4) year technical degree recommended.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience using 2D and 3D modeling software – SOLIDWORKS / AutoCAD / Nesting Software
  • Three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes related but not limited to sheet metal, machining, casting and welding beneficial.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, relentlessly execute and deliver results through a team in conformance with action plans in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to apply lean manufacturing methodology, TOC, and problem-solving skills to drive the business improvements in a metric-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and possession of excellent problem solving and organizational skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
