We are looking for a Shipping & Packing Associate for our 1st shift which runs Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.


POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the Material Management Team, The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining inventory control activities, including the tracking of incoming and outgoing materials, organized material management and accurate inventory counts.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate counts and usage of materials. This will be accomplished through the following:

  • Perform accurate cycle counts on all material according to schedule (weekly, monthly, annually)
  • Ensure organized material storage
  • Investigate and report on all discrepancies.
  • Prepare all required inventory reports to review with management.
  • Assist in the implementation of best practices and procedures in the discipline of materials management including receiving, put away, material utilization and overall inventory accuracy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains a safe and environmentally sound work environment
  • Pack all products manufactured by the company.
  • Use hand and pneumatic tools to build wood and cardboard boxes and pallets
  • Verify incoming and outgoing materials meet all company requirements
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory
  • Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) in a safe manner and maintain an operator license
  • Other duties as assigned

Job requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two or more years of related job experience
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Load and unload truck multiple times per day

Huge Plus:

  • Spiral stair manufacturing knowledge

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE:

  • Lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis
  • Work occurs primarily on the production floor
