Requirements

POSITION SUMMARY

As the Product Manager you will be responsible for the development and delivery of new products by conducting market research, creating product timeframes and plans, and crafting marketing strategies for new products. The ideal product manager will have experience with consumer or commercial durables, be able to lead cross-functional teams, have proven project management and product development skills, excellent communication and presentation skills. This position will report to the President.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform Market research in order to identify New Product opportunities.
  • Obtain market feedback from customers to determine functional and design specifications for new product development.
  • Perform pricing and competitive analysis to achieve desired market position with viable product value resulting from differentiated features of importance, and competitive pricing resulting in market share penetration and achievement of profitability goals.
  • Perform aspects of product development, product changes and product promotions, including development procedures, product positioning, pricing, and Sales training aides.
  • Represent the sales & marketing department in group meetings.
  • Provide effective project management in order to coordinate all department efforts in the execution of New Product Development plans to ensure timely completion of tasks.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of New Product Development experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with New Product Development methodologies, (i.e., Phase-Gate).
  • Proven experience of contributing to a high performing team.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative approach to work.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Though generally in an office, the employee will be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration and loud noise when in the manufacturing facility.
