The Production Supervisor is responsible for executing and achieving the production schedule through the Manufacturing Teams. This position will play a key role in operations leadership through the engagement of manufacturing employees by providing visible support, fostering open communications, coaching, and developing manufacturing employees in a safety-conscious environment resulting in a benchmark operations culture. This is also a hands-on position, the role functions as a skilled worker while providing leadership and accountability on the shift.


Responsibilities and Expectations: 

  • Provide leadership to manufacturing employees by being visible, clear in communicating relevant information, coach and drive employee performance. 
  • Accountable for maintaining a safe working environment and adherence to safety policies and procedures. 
  • Supervise all aspects of manufacturing. Direct and Schedule employee work activity on shift. 
  • Assist in the development of cross-training plans to increase production flexibility as directed by the Operations Manager. 
  • Analyze opportunities to improve productivity engaging employees through continuous improvement activities. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of equipment to ensure employees are operating efficiently to help control wastes. 
  • Evaluate employees' work performance and continually assist each employee’s development. 
  • Troubleshoot any machine or employee problems and maintain overall discipline. 
  • Advance the Company culture, one of high expectations but also of high levels of support. 


  • Hands-on ability with metal and wood fabrication 
  • Implementing change and process improvements 
  • Understanding of flow and cell manufacturing 
  • Demonstrated leadership experience 
  • Ability and willingness to participate in leadership, management, and process improvement training 
  • Demonstrated ability to be able to engage employees toward completing tasks and goals 
  • Ability to communicate effectively 
  • Listen / Coach / Facilitate / Problem-solve 

Education & Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent, trade school or college degree a plus. 
  • Minimum of five years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment – preferably in the metals or wood fabrication industry
