Quality Assurance Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards and customer expectations. Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations. Identifies deficiencies or gaps in manufacturing processes, materials and finished products, and in collaboration with Production Team, develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes and products. Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment
  • Ensuring that products adhere to quality standards
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing quality KPIs
  • Working according to deadlines for the delivery of products
  • Training and managing production line staff in production practices and quality assessment of goods
  • Tracking products through the manufacturing process to guarantee that each part of the process is correct
  • Performing detailed and recorded inspections of final products so the products are up to industry and company standards
  • Eliminating products that are not up to standards and finding the reasons for product problems
  • Communicate with production team on key failures and defects


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with concentration in one or more of the following disciplines:
    • Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial)
    • Management (Supply Chain, Operations)
    • Business
  • Six sigma or Lean Certification
  • Master’s degree is a plus

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in quality management and continuous improvement
  • Experience in improving manufacturing processes
  • Strong written and oral communications skills - including presentation skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Proficient computer skills – particularly Microsoft Office applications
  • ERP/MRP Systems experience
